It is important to have patients understand the importance of their own oral health as it can impact on their mental, physical and overall health.
Education and Experience Helen graduated from The University of Queensland in 2015 with a Bachelor in Oral Health. Since graduation, the majority of Helen’s working experience has been in private practice, however she has also served the community through volunteer work with Tzu Chi Foundation providing oral health care to refugees.
Her role at Ipswich Dental Care As an Oral Health Therapist, Helen is qualified in both hygiene and therapy, working closely with the dentist to help improve your oral health. Her dual qualification means she is able to provide routine preventive and gum disease treatments for all ages as well as various dental treatments for children. She is passionate to help her patients understand and prevent dental disease and has a particular interest in children’s dentistry.
Understanding patients and their needs Helen has worked with patients of all ages and all walks of life. She draws on her own childhood dental experience of anxiety and fear to help and understand her anxious patients. Helen prides herself on listening to her patients and getting to know you as a person and not just a set of teeth or dental issues. She works hard to make sure that your visit is a comfortable and positive one.
Helen's personal interest Helen is a member of the Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapists’ Association (ADOHTA) and keeps up to date through continuing education from seminars and training courses. Outside of work she enjoys trying new recipes with her husband and going on short day trips.
With our gentle, professional and experienced team, we strive to provide a relaxing environment for all patients and happily cater for each individuals needs
