What Is An Oral Health Therapist?

Have you heard the title of Oral Health Therapist?  Perhaps you have heard of an Oral Hygienist? Maybe you have not heard of either…

Here at Ipswich Dental Care, we pride ourselves in preventative care. As a result, we encourage our 6 monthly Active Maintenance program.  It is all apart of what we do best – preventing dental disease!

We are always looking for ways look after our patients with the utmost of care.  We do our best to regularly see our patients to ensure their dental health is in a stable and in a healthy condition.  This is where your 6 month dental checkup is especially relevant.  We can monitor any minor issues and therefore, act promptly on any necessary treatment.  Most of all, we keep a track of how things are going with your teeth and gums!

Oral Health Therapist – Kathleen Vu

In addition to this service, we have had an Oral Health Therapist join our team.  Oral health therapists are dental professionals who are dual qualified in dental therapy and dental hygiene. They provide a wide range of dental care in a variety of settings to children, adolescents and adults.

Oral Health Therapist, Kathleen Vu has joined the Ipswich Dental Care family.  Kathleen helps patients maintain excellent oral hygiene, educates our little ones (and parents) with hygiene and diet.  She gives our patients thorough, professional cleans. Kathleen is also highly qualified to treat children for any dental disease. Most noteworthy,  Kathleen has graduated from university/Dental School just the same as the dentists.  Kathleen, along with her assistant’s, makes up our wonderful Tooth Fairy team!

Kathleen is proving to be very popular at our clinic!  To introduce Kathleen to our team, I have provided the link to her bio page below…
