Dr David Chen
Dr. David Chen is the principle dentist of Ipswich Dental Care. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 2002. Having experience in both public hospital and private practice, he enjoys all aspects of dentistry. With a special interest in Orthodontics, he has completed 2 years of additional training which enable him to do orthodontic treatment on both adults and children.
Dr Chen works in a gentle and caring manner to ensure that he makes dental treatment easy and comfortable for his patients. He is the creator of our practice philosophy and is passionate about a team approach to dental care. He is committed to helping you look after your teeth for life. He treats all patients with care and respect to foster a lifelong relationship.
In his personal life, he enjoys Photography and spending time with his 2 year old son Hayden.
Dr Julie Yeh
Dr Julie Yeh immigrated to Australia from Taiwan when she was 4 years old and was educated in Brisbane. Other than English, Julie is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese. She graduated from Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland in 2010. Throughout high school Julie enjoyed participating in community aid service and was the convenor in grade 12.
She has since continued her passion for volunteer work through donating her time to assist with Refugee, Homeless and Rural Dental Fairs. Most of Julie’s patients know she loves animals, and loves talking about her pets. She volunteers on the weekend at the vet surgery in an animal shelter. She has adopted a dog named Romeo and a three legged cat called Snuggles from RSPCA.
As a dental general practitioner, Julie has a special interest in prosthodontics and paedodontics (children’s dentistry).
Dr Jacquilyn Torrisi
Dr Jacquilyn Torrisi graduated from James Cook University in 2013 before relocating to SE QLD to become the newest member of the Ipswich Dental Care team. She is up to date with the latest technology and techniques in dentistry and her beaming smile and calming personality makes coming to the dentist a pleasure.
Dr Torrisi has a special interest in preventive dentistry and enjoys working with children. Her big heart and her passion for travel has also led her to committing her time as a volunteer dentist in Cambodia where she cared for disadvantaged children at various schools and orphanages. Her personal philosophy for dental care is a gentle approach to treatment. She understands the importance of taking time to get to know all of her patients and ensures that they feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
She grew up in a small town in far north Queensland where she enjoyed many outdoor activities such as water skiing and cross country running. Her Italian background has given her a keen interest in food. She enjoys cooking for friends and family and likes to try new restaurants and recipes.
