Bulk Billing for Children Is No Longer

It is with great regret to inform our patients that since the release of the new government budget, Medicare will no longer be funded for the Child Dental Benefits Scheme.  The scheme was introduced for patients between the ages of 2 years and 17 years based on income tests.  This allowed us as a dental practice to bulk bill eligible children for their dental visits up to a total of $1000.  This money was over two years and was then replenished with another $1000.  Unfortunately, regardless of whether this money has been used or not,as of the 1st July 2016 you will no longer be able to claim for this.

Because the closing date of the Child Dental Benefits Scheme is fast approaching, we have decided to open up some extra blocks in our appointment books to cater for those of you wishing to have your child seen before 30th June.

I have attached a couple of links for families with further questions.  Please click on the links to find out more.
